Hi Stephen,
Thank you for placing your request inside this topic.
- Your meta title is too long – 147 Characters. Please keep it under 70 characters, spaces included
- Your meta description is too long – 209 characters. Please, keep it under 150 characters
- Your website Domain will be expired in less than a year – please keep it current – 2-3 years till expiration date
- Your 301 Redirect is not set up yet – Please make sure your technical people set up this error a.s.a.p., so the SEs would treat both http://www.directcapital.com/
And http://directcapital.com/ as one site and summarize all back links and traffic traces for it
- If you have many updates to your site, set up SE robots to visit your site more often
- It looks like you are using keywords that have high monthly search volume. So it’s just the matter to have your site optimized so, you’ll gain more visibility for your keywords
- You have plenty of back links, which is very good. However, your subject is so popular that I would think the blog will help you with real traffic. RSS to the blog, current rates, etc. would be a nice feature, as well
- I would recommend using meta keywords extracted from your site’s content. Only those will work in full strength for your SEO
- I would’ve change the “digestion level” of your content. Make it more of plain English, understandable by many
- From Navigation point of View – there should be at least one spot were the menu stays the same from page to page. I would’ve imagine, it’s a blue horizontal line, but apparently, it’s not. Because of such navigation, user would need to use back button a lot. The best practice is to give a user enough tools to surf your site using only your site navigation and not your browser features
- Also, in this main menu, all links should lead to a page on your site and not to an external page. For example, Equipment for Sale, leads to an Ebay Page, which is outrageous. You should have a landing page on your site and a link to Ebay from this page, if necessary
- Again, abut that blue line – those roll-able images that you use for the menu. Changing the Color is OK, although, changing the size of them image is not. Looks fat and ugly, and way too unprofessional
- A quote that you’ve placed is a good idea – I would’ve actually do a quote for each personage on your picture, shown on hovering with a mouth. The pluses aren’t that obvious, at first I thought, your flash doesn’t work in IE.
- I would leave 2 columns for your internal pages. Otherwise, they look too busy and destructive.
- You should clean your site a little bit. Many pages shows “Error on page” sign in the lower left corner. I would recommend some design adjustments, as well, to make this site more user-friendly
Otherwise, it looks good!
