Press Releases are great for Online Marketing endeavors. Once Press Release is out, it creates back links to your site in every place it has been distributed. Later on, other sites, will redistribute the same press release and i'll double and tripple the number of back links! And, as we know, back links, especially relevant one-way back links are very important for any web site. However, you should be smart about Press Releases distribution, or it won't work the full power.
1. Make at least 1 press release each month, in order to have a current update of your business
2. Use different PR distribution services, as all of them have a great website rank, and all of them will store the copy of your press release, as well. So, the more different services you use, the more high-quality one-way links you'll get.
3. Make sure you sound professional. PR is for B2B community, no matter what your real business is about
4. Add valid links to your press release, but make sure, you do not include more than 3 links, and each of the links leads to a different page on your site.
5. Make your Title no more than 70 characters, all symbols and spaces included
6. Include a short summary of your PR (no more than 250 characters)
7. Try different demographics. Use BusinessWire to send industry-specific news within US and Canada, but do not use them for international distribution. Use PR.com for International and "Overall" distribution, but do not expect them to submit your Press release to the confident US and Canada Publications. Use country or region-specific PR services to distribute your message within any certain demographics and age groups, and so on
8. Place your press releases at your website, as well, and do not remove even the oldest ones.
9. Retweet your press releases founded in different sources, and use the services who may help you with it, such as betweeted.com
10. Announce new press releases as news, discussions, or events through Linkedin, Xing, eCademy, Facebook, professional forums and communities, etc.
